Finding Something New!

Hey guys!

Well, I have decided to put the jewelry making business on hold for a bit and pursue something else now. My hobbies come and go - so this might just be one of those things - maybe it will stick :) I went out tonight and took some pictures before the storm rolled in on the west side of town! And I just had to play with programs on my computer - so ENJOY :)

Gotta love the Texas Panhandle - storm rolling in and COWS :)



And ... Jody is in a HUGE golf tournament in Tulsa this week/weekend! I'm very proud of him for doing this! He did great in the Amarillo tournament - so I hope he does even better in this one!

Well - the girls loaded up with the boys and went to Kingfisher, Ok 3 weeks ago!!! It was a LONG trip home but we had a blast! My famous LONG arm's come in handy when it's just the 2 of us in the back of the car! haha!

and I must say - I have gorgeous friends!!! We had such a great time cheering on Wes, Russell, and Cody!!! The announcer loved us too!!! We were known as the "CANYON GROUP". Every time one of our guys were up - there was a ROAR from our little section of girls!!! haha!!!

And ... Fully (barely) recovered from the most AWESOME weekend with the best friends!!!

THE ROOF WAS CLOSED UNTIL GEORGE STARTED A CHANT FOR JERRY TO OPEN IT UP. IT TAKE 12 MINUTES FOR IT TO COMPLETELY OPEN!

AND THIS WAS RIGHT ABOVE US. WE WERE IN SECTION 3!

AND THIS IS THE SOON TO BE VERY FAMOUS TV - IT IS ABSOLUTELY HUGE!!!

AND THESE ARE OUR CO-PIOLTS! MISTY AND RUSSELL!!!!!!

AND OF COURSE - I DO LOVE WHEN JODY SMILES NORMAL!!!

EVEN THOUGH I'M SAID THAT JULIANN HOUGH WAS NOT THERE - I'M GLAD THEY FOUND AN AWESOME REPLACEMENT!!!! SHE WAS ACUSTICALLY THE BEST ONE!!!

AND IT JUST WASN'T THE SAME SEEING BLAKE SHELTON - LAST TIME HE WAS IN MY FACE AND TOUCHING MY HAND IN AMARILLO :)

REBA IS JUST SOOOO AMAZING!!! (WE WERE A LITTLE BIT DISAPPOINTED WHEN SHE DIDN'T SING FANCY THOUGH!)

OH WAIT!!!!! YES SHE DID!!! SHE CAME BACK OUT ON STAGE IN THIS HOT LITTLE NUMBER! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON MISTY'S FACE!!! THIS IS HER ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG!!!!

AND THEN KING GEORGE CAME ON STAGE!!!

HE IS SUCH AN AWESOME ENTERTAINER EVEN THOUGH HE HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF JUST "STANDING THERE" SINGING!!! EVEN IF HE JUST STANDS THERE - HE IS AMAZING!

AND HE IS SO HANDSOME!!!

We didn't have any trouble getting out of the stadium and on our way home!!! We went to the closest place to eat (Taco Bell) and headed back to Possum Kingdom. We headed down to the dock before our long trip home - and little did we know - there are SNAKES in the water!!! We were just sitting there talking and Jody calmly stopped his story and said "SNAKE"! I looked down casually becuase I really thought he was kidding! But NO! There was a little snake swimming towards me at snake speed!!!! I claim that it opened it's mouth - but Jody says no! Misty and I couldn't even scream as we were walking on water to get out of the way of the DEVIL!! haha :) Russell laughed soooo hard at us because once we were safely on the dock - we screamed our heads off!!! And I sure did bird dog the snake as it was making it's way to the shore. I was just sure it was going to slither on up on the shore where we couldn't kill it! We had NOTHING to kill it with - so I'm almost glad that it stayed in the water. Not really though because if I go back with Misty in July - there is just no way I can get back in without the floaties! haha :) I'm glad that I had my feet up on the dock and was in a chair type of floatie to get up as quickly as possible. It had been raining - so Misty and I were guessing that is what brought it in. This was Russell's 2nd siting of silly little snakes at PK and Misty's first! Needless to say - I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!

OH -----AND WHILE WE ARE ON THE SUBJECT! Our neighbor had a sanke in her drive way about 3 weeks ago! It was just a little one - but it sure did bow up at Jody when he shined the light on it! Cody and Jody were able to eliminate it pretty quickly and our poor little neighbor lady said that this is the first snake she has seen in town like that and she has lived in her house for 40 years!!!

So --- on a better note!!! WE ARE HEADED TO COLORADO THIS NEXT WEEKEND!!! I can't even begin to tell you how EXCITED I am to get out of town and away from Texas for a week!!!

Hey hey!!! So - yes, I am in the middle of watching my most favorite show EVER!!! I think that this season of the bachelorette is going to be AWESOME!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

I thought that I would post some super cute pictures of my dogs while I'm chillin' watchin' TV :) Misty came over on Friday night and we went out to eat and had a great girly night of jewelry making and movie watchin'! We watched Bride Wars (yes, I'm a little bit behind the times - a lot has happened in my life in the last couple of months and I haven't had time to go to the movies :)) So, yes, it was the bestest movie!!! And then we proceeded to TRY and watch a 3D movie - but I couldn't find the lovely remote to the DVD player! But Yogi and Ryley wanted to join in on the fun! We had 4 sets of glasses!!! haha :)

Ryley didn't really LOVE it as much as Yogi - but they are just sooooo cute :) haha! And I have to share my Mother's Day cake I made for our mom's! We had both sets of parents over for dinner and it was FABULOUS!!! I made a strawberry cake that was on the front of my magazine and I did really good until I got to the icing - and I HAD NO IDEA THAT CONFECTIONERS SUGAR IS POWDERED SUGAR - NOT REAL SUGAR :) so the icing was a little bit crunchy :) But it was still REALLY good cake!!!

And lets see - work is going great!!! My new position really fits me and I love getting to learn new things!!!

No jewelry this time - I have really slacked off - but I do have one more picture of the dogs from last fall! I finally got them to sit still long enough for me to take a picture of them in the fall leaves :)

Finding Perfection!

Hey hey Party People! (ha - that was random but so needed!)

I am a little jealous of my friends right now! They are at a rodeo having fun - but I had to work this morning - so I wasn't able to go :( Boo on working Saturday mornings! Oh well - that gave me the opportunity to get a little creative tonight!!!

I went to Sam's today with my mom and her pretty new car!!! Little Highlanders are fun cars!!! I'm proud of my parents for finally getting a new car! YAH! And while at Sam's - I spend entirely too much money on nothing really - but I do love Sam's! So that got me in the mood to not sit at home! So I wandered over to the Crafter's Mall - which might I add - HAD NOTHING THAT I NEEDED! Uh! I hate that! Oh well - I did get some cute little Tea Towels with flip flops and sunglasses! I know Jody will just LOVE them when he sees them sometime tomorrow! hehe :) They I was on a mission since they did not have the pendant for a necklace that I need for a lady at work! So I went to Dusty's and was able to find something there that will work :) I spiced it up a little of course and this is what it turned out like!

I think it turned out pretty good!!! We'll just have to see what Miss Lorraine thinks :)

So that got me in the mood to "decorate" something - so I bought me a little something too!! I have NOTHING to go with it - but I'm sure I can find something in my travels to the mall in the coming month for SPRING TIME CLOTHES!!! Yah!!! Finally :) And this is what I came up with!

So ... now to figure out what to wear with LIME GREEN!!! (that is the color of the little crystals I put on it!)

And I finally was able to put together some necklaces with the beads my sister-in-law -aka - faithful follower! - picked out for me in my absense over the Easter holiday in Abilene! They are PERFECT and I love them!!!

Oh - AND ONE MORE! I'm not quite sure if I like this or not so I didn't glue it down or anything yet. The art of perfection and being a tiny bit obessive compolsive on everything being just right - got the best of me on this one :) I like the layed look - but I think paint would be better than just paper :) But we'll see what I can come up with to make it just what I want it to be!

OH K :) I guess I'm going to clean up my bead mess and go to bed! It has been a long day :) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for guidance and patience for me this week and the next couple of weeks that are headed our way :) I think (no - I KNOW) I need a little light shed on my world and what I am really supposed to be doing in my life! Jody and I read a devotional every night and I have found some pretty good little stories in there to keep me going - but trials keep popping up and I'm just not sure which direction I'm being led in right now! I almost feel like I'm walking in unknown territory since my life has been FLIPPED upside down since December. Everything really did happen for a reason - but my life was so "simple" with my day-to-day same ol' thing for 4 years and now - it changes in so many ways quickly - that sometimes I forget those purposes of December 1, 2008!

Hey Hey People!

HAPPY EASTER!!!! It has been an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day!!! Except - I did not get the memo that the MALL IS CLOSED!!! (AND TARGET, AND KOHL'S!) and Old Navy didn't get it either - but I couldn't find a single thing I liked! Haha - NOT EVEN ON THE SALE RACK! WIERD :) But - oh well - I went to Wal-Mart instead and got me 2 little Pansie plants and some seeds to plant in some pots I have - I am just way too impatient on the true Spring Time to get here!!! So now - after my crazy morning of burning easter cookies shaped like rabbits, eggs, and tulips - I thought I would share what my crafty friends did on Friday night!

I must say - I HAVE SOME TALENTED FRIENDS! Poor Misty might have my obsession with buying beads!!! Haha - the girl brought over a box full!!! We still have some beading to do since she has some leftover :) YAH!

And of course I made one too!!! I can't wait to wear it because I'm pretty sure it's the cutest one I have made yet!!!

and for your viewing pleasure - I put some dog hair in each one of these photos! My little short legged dogs are the BEST - but they shed sooooo much right not it's not even funny :) But - I won't have it any other way!

Crazy Blizzard of March '09!

Hey People!!

This is just a little bit of what has been goin on in our world!!! Our crazy Panhandle weather gave me plenty of time to get some "bead-dazzlin'" done - and I thought I would share a little bit with you!!!

Poor little Yogs thought Jody was coming home - so I think he was just patiently waiting for the door to open around 5:30! He's so cute!!!

The ice was finally starting to form at the end of the storm and I thought it looked pretty cool!

Yogi caught a small snowflake to the eye - but all in all - he had a great time running and playing in the snow! Riley loved the snow too - she ran and ran and ran! It was tooo funny watching them play together! At one point though towards the end of the night - they were having to leap in the snow since it was getting so deep! They enjoyed it much more than I did! Being cooped up in my house was not fun - especially since Jody had to stay in Borger for the night!

This was about 8:00 at night! The little lights are solar powered - so how they came on during a blizzard that shed no sun light all day - is beyond me! They were really pretty against the snow though!

It was great to see snow - but I'm glad that it didn't last too long!

I have tried to take about a dozen pictures of this AWESOME ring - but the bling just gets in the way - so this is about as good as I could get! I saw a ring like this in the Crafter's Mall and fell in LOVE - so I made my own!!!

I wish I was a Red Raider fan because this would be the perfect accessory!!!
