Once Upon A Time

Hello All!

Wow - I have exciting news - FOUST FEEDS IN HEREFORD officially has my "line" of jewelry!!! YAH!!! I'm soooooo excited!!! Yesterday I had a great / random day off from the Bank for Veterans Day - and I finished up my pricing and pictures, and headed to Hereford! A great big shout out to my mom's friend Joan - THANK YOU FOR THE LEAD!! Susan is having a Christmas Open House on Sunday at Foust and she wanted to display some of my jewelry! 27 items later including rings, a key chain, bracelets, and some necklaces - I have started the quest on selling jewlery!!! Oh my gosh I'm so excited!
We are also having our first out of town guests tomorrow! I'm pretty excited about that too! Willie and his wife, Krissy are coming from Tulsa to the World Ranch Rodeo! I'm actually more excited about the trade show - but I'm excited to have company! So me and my sparkling house are patiently waiting for tomorrow to get here :) And - trying to keep Yogi off of the very clean and hair free couches! Now that, my friends, will be a CHALLENGE!!! Poor little guy is so spoiled! I'm thinking that he will just have to sleep on the bed with me tonight to ensure he does not get on the couch during the night :) I even had to clean off Rylie's chair so that she will have somewhere to sleep tonight - since she has decided that it's ok for her to get on the couches since Yogi can! I do love my short legged dogs!!!

Ok - I'm off to do just a little more touching up to my house :)

Happy Halloween

Well, no jewelry this time - but I did get a little bit crafty when I got home from my weekend road trip! For work we are having a pumpkin carving/decorating contest - so I participated by carving this cute little pumpkin.
Jody spray painted my pumpkin for me and I carved some holes and put little mice in them. It's supposed to be a piece of cheese with mice!
I think it's pretty cleaver and hopefully it won't smell too back by the end of the week! There were some good pumpkins that came in today to work - but hopefully mine will be in the top 3!
For the weekend - I drove to Abilene on Friday night - which by the way - I have decided that I watch too much "scary" tv. CSI - Tramua - you know all of the shows where bad people come out to get you at night! I was paranoid driving by myself (for some strange reason - never felt this way before) - there were cops everywhere between Post and Abilene - maybe I was more paranoid about getting pulled over in my fast car :) But on the other hand - I'm glad that I have a fast car so that if someone did try to get me - I could get away real fast! haha! I'm real funny! I know! j/k! Anyways - we got up EARLY on Saturday morning - we, being Shaylee, Gary, Alex and myself -- and drove to Arlington to Six Flags for Fright Fest. It was pretty fun! By the end of the day - Alex had a great day riding rides with all of us, my feet felt like I had walked about 10 miles (good thing I actually wore my tennis shoes for once and not flip flops), I actually rode a grown up ride - The Batman ride - it was GREAT! I did let go of all my fears on that one! I'm glad I did becuase it was really fun! I did ride some rides with Alex which was really fun! My little BFF is a funny kid!
After several hours of Six Flags - we left. Poor Alex was finally WORN OUT and ate his 2 cheese burgers and crashed - but so did I! Shaylee wasn't sure which one of us crashed first! The big kids crash hard I guess! It was tons of fun! Then on Sunday I spent a little bit of time with the mini BFF, Evan - and then headed home for "operation, find Jody's IPhone cord". I have completely cleaned the kitchen and now our bedroom - the 2 places that I "stash" things - and nothing. I guess I'll be making a trip to Target tomorrow :) YAH! It was a fun weekend and actually much needed to get out of town for a little bit! I sure wish Jody could have gone - but there is always next Halloween for Fright Fest! Hopefully this week I'll be able to put together a little bit of jewelry - I have some ideas in my head that need to come out and in to the bling world :) Have a great week everyone!

Just a LITTLE bit of what I've been up to

Hello!!! This is just a little bit of what I've been up to lately!

I made this little necklace as a match to the FABULOUS pendant that I put together. I love both - but I could part with them if anyone is interested! ($45)

And this little number is dark purple and black! It's really cute on - and very simple! The bracelette can made to fit :) $30 for the set

A dear friend at work was having a birthday last week, so I put together this little necklace for her! A similar one can be made - color preferances are fushia pink, black, a teal color or the dark purple. ($25)

This was a request from a guy I work with! He needed a gift for his girlfriend. I think this is one of the best idea's I've had so far! It's 2 necklaces in 1. One of the strands is removable! Similar one can be made as needed with different colors.

This is a super cute little pair of earrings! $15

This is the original necklace I made to match the FABULOUS pendant! $45 as the set

Another guy I work with requested matching necklaces for his 3 year old daughter - and his wife :) This is the necklace I made for his daughter! Let me tell ya - she is STYLIN' at her daycare/church group!

And this is the mother's necklace! She is pretty stylin' too! I was pretty jealous too! haha!!

So ..... this is about it jewelry wise!

In other life - we have our first little mishap with the house this week! Pumpkin Pulp - and the sink / disposal --- they don't mix :) So, now we have a plumber coming to the house on Thursday to fix everything! Jody did try really hard to fix it himself - but I think this is for the professionals to fix :)

We had a little football Saturday party last weekend we carved pumpkins! I realized that this was the first time that I actually "carved" the pumpkin - and it did NOT turn out :) But - Misty and Katy's looked great! I'll post some pictures when I get mine done finally (yes - I went and bought a new pumpkin to carve :)) And I am going to participate in a little competition at work - we are having a pumpkin carving contest and some of the proceeds go towards United Way - so come by and vote next week!
Love Love and Goodnight!

Making a House a HOME!

Hey! So - this Labor Day weekend while my closest friends were all gone - and the family was at a reunion at PK - I MADE MY HOUSE - OUR HOME :)

Project #1 - COVER THE "BRIGHT" RED DINING ROOM!

**THE BEFORE COLOR**

**DURING THE KILZ PROCESS - it took 2 coats of that stuff to cover the red in the room. Don't get me wrong - I love to paint - but that was A LOT of KILZ!

I went to Lowe's courtsey of the parents and a gift card to find paint! I took the KILZ with me that has been in the garage for probably 2-3 years! So - I had the guy "shake" it for me - and then I had him look at one other paint that I took in. Little did I know - it wasn't really paint - it was GLAZE! haha - no wonder it looked so light! So - then I wandered around trying to figure out where in the world the paint cans told me what color it was! I ended up with 2 little cards "Coffee Bean" and "Oatmeal". I went back over to the man that had looked at my paint that I already had and asked him "HOW DO I GET THESE 2 COLORS?" - **answer with a little bit of a smirk that said - "you really don't know what you are doing"** "I MAKE THEM FOR YOU." hahahaha - ok - so I really had NO CLUE! So I waited in line and finally at my turn - he proceeds to ask me what kind of paint I want? SERIOUSLY DUDE - I HAVE NO CLUE :) He was nice though and guided me in the right direction! I got "Satin" - just enough shine if I don't want to glaze over :) So - 1 hour later - I'm nome and painting away with KILZ!

AND .... we were dog sitting this weekend - and Gabby was being "herded" by my little black dog and she just brushed up against the freshly painted KILZ!! haha

Next morning - while Jody is soooo peacefully sleeping - I PAINT!

One wall - Coffee Bean - done :)

(I forgot to take a picture of mid point with Oatmeal - but you get the idea!)

FINISHED PRODUCT! Coffee Bean and Oatmeal :) Sounds yummy to me!

Next project for another weekend - the base boards and ceiling!

PROJECT #2!!!

I have this little cabinet in my kitchen that my mom and dad baught me approx. 10 years ago - maybe a little bit more. I had it in my bedroom at home and then my numours apartments that I moved in to every 6 months since I moved out of the house :) So - I thought that it needed a "face lift!" We also could see all that I had "stashed" away in there - so I found a way to cover that up too!

I did start this project on Friday night with some of the "paint" that was in the garage - and was a little bit disappointed in how it looked! **Hence the fact that it was GLAZE!** No wonder I didn't like it!

So until the guy at Lowe's told me it was Glaze - I was going to go for this look! Pretty good I thought!

But then I got home with Coffee Bean and Oatmeal and had different thoughts!

We now have this cute little "new" cabinet in our kitchen! Stocked with all the things that won't fit on my counters and dog treats :) I did kind of confuse Yogs when I went to get his chewy tonight - he looked at me like I was crazy for doing something in between time of getting his chewy :)

I'm pretty proud of my cabinet "face lift!" Thanks Better Homes and Garden's magazine for the idea!

And I have been selling a few pieces of jewelry lately - so it has me int he creative mood again!

($25)

And personal favorite - a mom that I work with has a son that plays football for Canyon High :)
While shopping for beads for another necklace I'm making someone else at work - I stumbled on these bright pink beads! They were just too cute to pass up! I wish I had found them at the beginning of the summer so that I could have worn it all summer long!!! I'll just have to wait until next year I guess :)

($30 - without cross)

I'm really trying this whole long chain necklace thing - it's growing on me :) And of course - it's my 2 favorite colors! Pink and Black!

($20)

OH MY GOSH - I think these might be my new favorite!!! They can be pendants on a necklace - OR - MAGNETS!!! I do LOVE magnets!! haha - They can be all different colors - that you choose as a set of 4!
($20 - set of 4)

Well - this Labor Day weekend turned out to not be too bad! Next weekend - Goal #1 - conquor the base boards! WISH ME LUCK :)
Love Love! Lenna

Finding Something New!

Hey guys!

Well, I have decided to put the jewelry making business on hold for a bit and pursue something else now. My hobbies come and go - so this might just be one of those things - maybe it will stick :) I went out tonight and took some pictures before the storm rolled in on the west side of town! And I just had to play with programs on my computer - so ENJOY :)

Gotta love the Texas Panhandle - storm rolling in and COWS :)

And ... Jody is in a HUGE golf tournament in Tulsa this week/weekend! I'm very proud of him for doing this! He did great in the Amarillo tournament - so I hope he does even better in this one!

Much Love!

Check Yes or No!

Well - the girls loaded up with the boys and went to Kingfisher, Ok 3 weeks ago!!! It was a LONG trip home but we had a blast! My famous LONG arm's come in handy when it's just the 2 of us in the back of the car! haha!

and I must say - I have gorgeous friends!!! We had such a great time cheering on Wes, Russell, and Cody!!! The announcer loved us too!!! We were known as the "CANYON GROUP". Every time one of our guys were up - there was a ROAR from our little section of girls!!! haha!!!

And ... Fully (barely) recovered from the most AWESOME weekend with the best friends!!!

JUST A QUICK PIC BEFORE WE'RE "ON THE ROAD AGAIN"!

on the road to BONE DADDY'S!!!

$40 PARKING AND SKIP / JUMP OVER TO THE STADIUM TO THE "WILL CALL" OFFICE ME AND MISTY IN FRONT WITH OUR "HATS"

ME AND GEORGE!!!

THE STADIUM WAS KIND OF EMPTY FOR LEEANN WOMACK AND BLAKE SHELTON

THE ROOF WAS CLOSED UNTIL GEORGE STARTED A CHANT FOR JERRY TO OPEN IT UP. IT TAKE 12 MINUTES FOR IT TO COMPLETELY OPEN!

AND THIS WAS RIGHT ABOVE US. WE WERE IN SECTION 3!

AND THIS IS THE SOON TO BE VERY FAMOUS TV - IT IS ABSOLUTELY HUGE!!!

AND THESE ARE OUR CO-PIOLTS! MISTY AND RUSSELL!!!!!!

AND OF COURSE - I DO LOVE WHEN JODY SMILES NORMAL!!!

EVEN THOUGH I'M SAID THAT JULIANN HOUGH WAS NOT THERE - I'M GLAD THEY FOUND AN AWESOME REPLACEMENT!!!! SHE WAS ACUSTICALLY THE BEST ONE!!!

AND IT JUST WASN'T THE SAME SEEING BLAKE SHELTON - LAST TIME HE WAS IN MY FACE AND TOUCHING MY HAND IN AMARILLO :)

REBA IS JUST SOOOO AMAZING!!! (WE WERE A LITTLE BIT DISAPPOINTED WHEN SHE DIDN'T SING FANCY THOUGH!)

OH WAIT!!!!! YES SHE DID!!! SHE CAME BACK OUT ON STAGE IN THIS HOT LITTLE NUMBER! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON MISTY'S FACE!!! THIS IS HER ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG!!!!

AND THEN KING GEORGE CAME ON STAGE!!!

HE IS SUCH AN AWESOME ENTERTAINER EVEN THOUGH HE HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF JUST "STANDING THERE" SINGING!!! EVEN IF HE JUST STANDS THERE - HE IS AMAZING!

AND HE IS SO HANDSOME!!!

We didn't have any trouble getting out of the stadium and on our way home!!! We went to the closest place to eat (Taco Bell) and headed back to Possum Kingdom. We headed down to the dock before our long trip home - and little did we know - there are SNAKES in the water!!! We were just sitting there talking and Jody calmly stopped his story and said "SNAKE"! I looked down casually becuase I really thought he was kidding! But NO! There was a little snake swimming towards me at snake speed!!!! I claim that it opened it's mouth - but Jody says no! Misty and I couldn't even scream as we were walking on water to get out of the way of the DEVIL!! haha :) Russell laughed soooo hard at us because once we were safely on the dock - we screamed our heads off!!! And I sure did bird dog the snake as it was making it's way to the shore. I was just sure it was going to slither on up on the shore where we couldn't kill it! We had NOTHING to kill it with - so I'm almost glad that it stayed in the water. Not really though because if I go back with Misty in July - there is just no way I can get back in without the floaties! haha :) I'm glad that I had my feet up on the dock and was in a chair type of floatie to get up as quickly as possible. It had been raining - so Misty and I were guessing that is what brought it in. This was Russell's 2nd siting of silly little snakes at PK and Misty's first! Needless to say - I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!

OH -----AND WHILE WE ARE ON THE SUBJECT! Our neighbor had a sanke in her drive way about 3 weeks ago! It was just a little one - but it sure did bow up at Jody when he shined the light on it! Cody and Jody were able to eliminate it pretty quickly and our poor little neighbor lady said that this is the first snake she has seen in town like that and she has lived in her house for 40 years!!!

So --- on a better note!!! WE ARE HEADED TO COLORADO THIS NEXT WEEKEND!!! I can't even begin to tell you how EXCITED I am to get out of town and away from Texas for a week!!!
